Rev. Nelson Steinert was born and raised in Central Kansas but moved to California when he was 15. He met his wife, Mandy, in high school and they attended college together at Azusa Pacific University, where Nelson studied theology and biblical studies. He then spent two years as a pastoral fellow at the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood before moving to New Jersey to pursue an MDiv at Princeton Theological Seminary. He graduated in 2024 and received a call to serve as an Associate Pastor in Virginia. In the fall of 2026 he accepted a call to serve as the pastor here at Cambridge Presbyterian. Nelson possesses a deep love and appreciation for the Reformed Theological tradition and Christian History, but more than anything, he is passionate about studying and sharing the significance of what God has done once and for all on our behalf in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ!
